The Parish of Llangyfelach with St Teilo on the Clase
Our Parish serves a diverse set of communities from the large housing estates of Clase and Penpant to the villages of Llangyfelach, Felindre and Rhyapandy. We welcome people from all walks of life and have gained many blessings from our diversity. It is our mission to spread the word of God in this place and to further Christ’s work. We are active in all walks of life both religious and secular.

Penllergare Trust
Penllergare Valley Woods is a picturesque landscape hidden away in a steep valley just a stone’s throw, yet a world away, from the M4 in north Swansea.
With its lakes and waterfalls, terraces, panoramic views, exotic trees and shrubs, this forgotten Victorian paradise is being slowly restored and brought back to life by the Penllergare Trust.
The new car park and visitor centre, opened in September 2013 near to J47 of the M4, provides simple facilities for visitors including toilets, information and a small cafe with stunning views from the cafe terrace to the upper lake. From here, visitors can enjoy over 12km of walks including along the Carriage Drive to the now demolished former home of the Dillwyn Llewelyn family, and also down into the gorge where the family created the upper lake with a stunning man-made waterfall. Paths and tracks lead on down alongside the afon Llan as it meanders its way to Fforestfach.
The woods are teeming with wildlife with kingfishers on the river, and buzzards and red kites are frequent visitors. The rhododendrons, the legacy of the ‘plant hunting’ Dillwyn Llewlyn family in the 19th century, along with drifts wild daffodils and bluebells are a popular sight in spring.
